What is Rainbow Storytime?
Rainbow Storytime is an engaging and entertaining LGBTQ+ centered early childhood enrichment program designed for children ages 0-7. Led by Lindz and Teddy from Queer Kid Stuff, each session is carefully curated to celebrate diversity, promote inclusivity, and empower young minds.
Why is it Important?
In today's world, fostering empathy, understanding, and acceptance is crucial, especially in the early years. Rainbow Storytime provides a safe and supportive space for children to explore LGBTQ+ themes and identities, helping to create a more inclusive and compassionate society while nurturing crucial developmental skills!
LGBTQ-Centered Early Childhood Enrichment:
Rainbow Storytime offers more than just read-a-louds - it's an LGBTQ-centered early childhood enrichment experience. We focus on literacy, music, social-emotional skills, and gross motor skills. Through curated books, interactive activities, and music, we foster a love of reading, enhance literacy, and develop empathy. Our program creates a safe space where children can explore diverse identities, affirming all kids and instilling confidence in each one.
What to Expect:
Engaging Sessions: Each week, we read curated LGBTQ picture books aloud, accompanied by interactive activities and discussions.
Community Connection: Join our live, highly interactive sessions from the comfort of your home. We offer various time options, including bedtime storytime, to accommodate busy schedules.
Curated Content: Our sessions include curated songs, stories, and community show & tell, as well as dance parties your kiddos will love!
Educational Lessons: Learn about gender, pronouns, different kinds of families, diversity, drag royalty, and more through short, age-appropriate read-a-louds.
Safety: We create a safe space with zero tolerance for hate speech, bullying, or discrimination.
